Prior to joining Access Bank (Kenya) PLC, Gladys was the Director, Consumer Business –NCBA Bank and General Manager Retail Banking at Commercial Bank of Africa (CBA) with responsibilities for developing and implementing strategy for the Consumer and Retail division. Gladys is a seasoned banker with 30 years’ experience in developing and executing strategies in retail, consumer, credit, insurance, wealth management, risk management, business development, distribution, channel management, business model renovation and customer experience.
A results-oriented leader with proven ability to drive sustainable Balance Sheet and Profit and Loss (P&L) growth, business expansion, coach, mentor and develop people across cultures and functions and influence both internal and external stakeholders including board level.
Gladys is a certified member of the Retail Banking Academy, United Kingdom, Certified Proficiency in Insurance from the college of Insurance and former board member at Commercial Bank of Africa Insurance Agency. She holds an MBA from United States University in Africa (USIU) and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration from Kenyatta University.
